MMIS RECIPIENT FILE APPLICATION

MMIS RECIPIENT FILE APPLICATION contains program eligibility information about persons known to MMIS. Both current eligibility status and history are stored in the RECIPIENT FILE APPLICATION. Person with binoculars.

The kinds of eligibility information stored in MMIS include:

  • Program and eligibility type and eligibility dates
  • Spenddown history
  • Waiver history
  • Living arrangement
  • Other Insurances including prepaid Health Plan and Medicare
  • Benefits used and benefit limits
  • Immigration status
  • Special services
  • Case manager
  • Recipient information

Generally program eligibility determination information is entered in MAXIS by a financial worker and then interfaced into the MMIS RECIPIENT FILE APPLICATION .

Some eligibility information is updated directly in MMIS.

Most activities conducted in MMIS require confirming the eligibility status of a person before proceeding with data entry.

Much of the information stored in RECIPIENT FILE APPLICATION is considered PHI (Protected Health Information). PHI can only be shared with approved persons for specific business reasons.
